Counseling and coaching that actually changes your life.

I’m Emilie Kadlec, MA, LPC, a therapist, coach, and consultant with 15 years’ experience helping people heal, grow, and transform their lives.

My Approach

I pull from a variety of approaches because healing isn’t one-size-fits-all.

Your story, your history, your nervous system, and your values shape how we work.

I often integrate experiential methods (like Psychodrama and somatic work), parts-based healing (IFS), meaning-making frameworks (Existential and Narrative therapy), and relational depth work (Psychodynamic therapy).

Each session is tailored to what you need that day.

Who I Am

As a therapist and coach, I work with individuals, couples, and families across the country, offering support that blends therapeutic depth with coaching clarity.

I specialize in helping people move through grief and loss, religious trauma, relationship strain, and family of origin wounds—the deeply rooted patterns that often shape how we show up in the world and with others NOW.

For over a decade, I’ve walked alongside people in the sacred work of healing—processing trauma, untangling relationship dynamics, recovering a sense of self, and learning how to live in alignment. I’ve worked in private practice, treatment settings, churches, universities, and now hold space for individuals, couples, and groups doing brave, beautiful work.

I have worked in private practice, university counseling centers, experiential trauma-healing programs like Onsite Workshops, faith-based care settings, and corporate environments supporting executives, giving me a uniquely grounded perspective across mental health, education, spiritual care, and organizational leadership.

At the core of my work is a deep respect for your wisdom, your pace, and your process. Whether you’re in a moment of unraveling or rebuilding, I offer a space to explore, heal, and move toward the life that feels most aligned and alive for you.

Therapy with me is a mix of grounded presence, good questions, creative interventions, and soulful moments of clarity.

  • Sarah (19)

Working with Emilie has changed the way I show up in my relationship. I used to panic, shut down, or push my partner away without understanding why. Emilie helped me see the patterns I learned growing up and gave me tools to stay grounded, communicate honestly, and actually let myself be loved. For the first time, I feel hopeful about building something healthy and lasting.

  • John (87)

At this stage of life, I did not expect to find someone who could help me make sense of the losses that come with aging. Emilie offered a space where I could grieve honestly and also discover how much living I still have left. She helped me find dignity, purpose, and even joy in these final chapters. I am more at peace with myself and with life than I have ever been.

  • Mike (45) and Sara (41)

We came to Emilie stuck in the same fight we had been having for years. One of us chased and the other shut down, and neither of us knew how to break the cycle. Emilie helped us understand our attachment patterns and gave us a way to talk to each other that felt safe and connecting. Our intimacy is deeper, our communication is clearer, and as we move toward an empty nest, we actually feel closer instead of drifting apart.

  • Scott (35)

Sobriety forced me to face things I had avoided my whole life. Emilie walked with me through the painful parts, the neglect, the shame, the loneliness, without judgment. For the first time, I feel like I understand myself. I am not just sober. I am healing. I am becoming someone I am proud of.

  • Susan (44)

For most of my life, I kept my emotions buried because it never felt safe to feel anything at all. Working with Emilie has given me the space and support I needed to finally let myself feel without fear or shame. I am learning how to stay present with my emotions, understand them, and trust myself. For the first time, I feel like I am living instead of just surviving.

  • Samuel (38) and James (39)

Working with Emilie gave us the space we never knew we needed. As a same-sex couple trying to build a family in a world that often limits who we are allowed to be, we felt overwhelmed and alone. Emilie helped us grieve the losses, navigate the medical and emotional maze, and strengthen our partnership in the process. She supported us in becoming parents in a way that felt authentic, grounded, and true to us, not to anyone else’s expectations. We are more connected, more confident, and more hopeful than we have ever been.
